JP McDavid was raised in the South with a strict Southern Baptist upbringing. Growing up, his beliefs were based on a rigid system of right and wrong, with no gray areas to be found. It all seemed so concrete, complete and logical, until one stepped outside of it and saw the world in all its beautiful colors. In 2004, JP McDavid began studying a form of Martial Arts called Han-su Hapkido. Through Hapkido, he discovered the power of living life in the moment with positive choices, and not stressing over the uncontrollable. JP used his understanding of the “authentic power” to build the foundation of his wellness and life coaching business. Love, respect, service, humility, non-judgment, clarity, joy, forgiveness, and trust are some of the core tools JP uses to help others achieve authentic power.
